Dating Not Marriage Ep 12 Recap Marriage, Not Dating Episode 12 Recap

Maya was feeling better about the way things stood between them. They weren’t getting back together just yet, but Maya also knew she needed to still work on herself and that’s what she’s doing by continuing therapy. Alongside shows like Sky Castle, Desperate Housewives or even The Penthouse, Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) just does not compare. Even worse, it’s eye-wateringly boring at times.

Why would I be upset that they continued to pretend to be fake engaged for so long? The important players (the parents) hadn’t found out yet so the ruse could totally continue. Yes, I would LOVE to have more cute, happy couple time (ALWAYS) but I blame the second leads and their ability to worm their way into EVERYTHING for the lack of that. Plus I think the show has done a great job of exposing all of the issues facing the OTP with regards to their ability to accept their feelings for one another and actually choose to be together. As it stands now, I still think they both (but especially KiTae) need a lot of therapy to get in a good place first.

She’s getting increasingly frustrated with her daughter-in-law and her husband. She calls her husband a “walking corpse” and is repeatedly disgusted by him. Meanwhile, Sa Pi-young serves Dong-mi’s food to Yu-sin.

Ki Tae finds out that his aunt and mom are out to get him for a blind date they set up that night. Forget friendship, now it’s everyman for himself. Jang Mi tries to ask him about Hoon Dong but Gi Tae is in too much of a hurry to deal with this. He finally says that she’s pathetic and that it’s over.

Engineer Briana Miles and auto broker Vincent Morales agreed to stay together at the end of the show, and during the final episode of the season, they confirmed plans to buy a condo. So don’t soak in yesterday’s sorrows,” the message read. For Jacob Harder and Haley Harris, their time on ‘Married at First Sight’ ended on a rather bittersweet note. While the couple initially did try to make things work out, they were just too different in the way they approached the relationship.

This situation came on the heels of Reese being criticized for doing the “You Can’t See Me” hand gesture back to Caitlin Clark after LSU won the game. There was all this talk about fairness, sportsmanship and honoring the game. Of course, I don’t remember any of that talk happening when Clark did the same celebration during the Elite 8. Once again, the Black woman is only allowed to celebrate and express her emotions in a certain way. Even when she’s insulted in front of the whole world by the First Lady, she can’t get too upset at having her accomplishments devalued.

Hyun-hee admits she didn’t want an abortion, but that she heard that having a conflicted father listen to the baby’s heartbeat could get him to change his mind. Hoon-dong says it’s not like her to do something like that, but she says that actually, it is. She confesses that she did whatever she could to keep him, but tells him it’s his choice what to do now. Marriage Not Dating wraps up in a satisfying and poetic way, bringing us back full circle to remind us why we’ve all loved this couple so much. They stay true to themselves as the show manages to tie up all the loose ends nicely, leaving me feeling like everyone gets the ending they deserve. It’s definitely made its mark as a memorable and wonderfully fun drama, and I know I’ll miss Ki-tae and Jang-mi and their crazy, messed-up families very much. Hoon Dong continues to be a good friend to both Jang Mi and Gi Tae. I’m really liking the older brother-younger sister relationship between him and Jang Mi now. Too bad he wasn’t more loose-lipped to tell Gi Tae that Jang Mi also likes him a lot.
